- Annual
Spring Picnic - Pete Boleneus expressed his regrets for not
being able to attend the picnic by chipping in $100 for supplies.
Thank you, Pete!! Each of the officers accepted specific responsibilities
for the various tasks associated with preparation.
- Road Committee
Report - The officers discussed the Committee's findings
and the homeowner comments.
The Committee's objective was to identify all of the pros and cons
so that the POA membership would have a better understanding of
the various issues. The officers would like to thank the Committee
for their fine job, as well as the property owners who took the
time to express their opinions. The board has determined that if
the POA is to turn our roads over to the county, our By-Laws will
require amendment. Any change to the By-Laws must be approved by
at least 75% of the total eligible votes. No further action is currently
planned.
- Property
Management - The Board has decided to form a committee consisting
of three to five POA members which will be charged with coordinating
maintenance of the POA property including the roads, signs, tennis
courts, boat yard, entrance, and all other common areas and assets.
Norm will be contacting several potential candidates for this prestigious
position. If you don't receive a call, please feel free to volunteer.
- Tennis
Court - The officers discussed the two current bids for resurfacing
the tennis court and decided to wait until later in the summer before
proceeding. They decided to proceed with installation of the basketball
goal. Mike Simms will coordinate.
- Website
- The officers discussed guidelines for posting information on the
Classified Ads page and agreed to the current policy as stated on
the website.
- Next Officers
Meeting - The next El Dorado POA Officers meeting will be in
late July or early August 2009--date TBD. If you would like to come
and present your views on a particular issue, please contact Norm
Horn at 903-860-2949 or send e-mail to ngh1961@peoplescom.net.
